Up under our balcony are some mushrooms that keep growing. To me they looked like hen of the woods. They even smelled like hen of the woods. The look though, was slightly different than hen of the woods. Being that I’m not a mushroom expert I didn’t want to eat them without properly identifying them first. After I submitted them to the mushroom forum the people in there told what I have is call “Rooster of the Woods”, or scentific name, meripilus sumstinei. And according to wikipedia they are edible!
