To include some of our latest updates we took a new round of pictures of the Toledo Bend Cabin. This new set of pictures includes our new boathouse that was added in 2020 as well as other small additions here and there.
Toledo Bend Cabin Toledo Bend Cabin from further out in the yard. The cabin has a huge deck facing the lake. This angle shows how big the deck is. Living room area with windows showing the lake. As the sign in the living room says, our cabin has electricity and indoor plumbing. Dining room area with lots of windows showing the lake. Kitchen with island bar. Just the right amount of shelving and workspace in the kitchen area. Master bedroom 1 has a king size lodgepole bed. This bed is for lovers of soft beds. Master bedroom 1 has a king size aspen lodgepole bed. Soft bed in this bedroom. The downstairs bathroom has a single lavatory with a large stand up shower. So proud of this. I made it from left over wood from the cabin. Staircase leading up to the second level. At the top of the stairs is a loft area with a foosball table, a recliner that massages your back, and a queen sized sleeper sofa. The foosball table in the loft area. Nail-biting foosball tournaments happen here. Game on! The Toledo Bend Cabin has a foosball table up in the game room. Relax in this messaging recliner. It has kneading rollers that feel like hands! Sleeper sofa folds out into a queen size bed. Our gorilla, Big Neil, has a giraffe friend. His name is lil' Gene. Master bedroom 2 has a king sized lodgepole bed. This bed is for lovers of firm beds. The upstairs bathroom has a single lavatory and a tub/shower combo. Master bedroom 3 has a king sized lodgepole bed. This bed is for lovers of firm beds. The deck on the outside of the cabin is oversized and has a umbrella, chairs, and a gas grill. The flooring is composite so that you can walk around barefoot and not get a splinter in your foot. The huge deck facing the lake is made of trex. No splinters in your feet! The brightly colored deck furniture is made from recycled milk jugs! This AOG gas grill at our cabin is fantastic for grilling steaks and socializing. Make grilling fun again. We pride ourselves on striving to have the cleanest cabin on the lake! Boathouse with boat lift and gathering area. Boathouse with boat lift and gathering area. The boatouse has composite flooring so you can walk around barefoot without getting a splinter in your foot. Inside the boathouse is a single boat lift that has been configured with multiple runners, making it able to lift either a bass boat, bay boat, and pontoon boats including tri-toons. Just to the left of the boat lift is a gathering area that has a picnic table and a small glider for two people. This area is perfect for catching evening sunsets. This is the view looking back at the cabin from the boathouse. There are a couple of ladders and a jet ski lift to help with getting into and out of the water. The boathouse has lights under it. Turn it on for ambiance and to lure fish in. Our Toledo Bend cabin is located directly on the lakefront in deep water. Sunset on Toledo Bend from the cabin. This is the sunset view from our property on Toledo Bend lake. There is a free community boat launch about 1/2 mile from the cabin. No fees! Hamburgers for supper! Grilling on the Deck of the Toledo Bend Cabin! This is a picture of the big dipper taken from the lakefront deck. The fig tree in front of the deck is full of figs some times. Take some! Found on the property whie foraging. This is an edible mushroom known as "Rooster of The Woods." This area is great for mushroom foraging, but be careful.
